Here is a good place for us to post if we have some extras from our gardens or from our farms like eggs or tomatoes or what ever. I planted 14 tomatoes and hope to have some to share.

The Walla Walla Flu Round-Up was to run Oct. 20, 21, 22, but to supply limitations and demand of the shots this year they ran out of the Children's annual flu vaccine around 4pm Oct. 21. 2009 Walla Walla Ski and Snowboard Swap

Walla Walla Ski Swap - October 24 and 25, 2009For some of the best deals, Ski Swaps are the a great place to find used ski and snowboard equipment and clothing. Noble Panels & Gates, a local business in the Walla Walla area for many years. Noble Panels' fencing products are great for small family pastures or your large equestrian centers. Walla Walla Town Hall meeting with Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers

Despite some of the media news showing Town Hall meetings with frustrated 'YELLING' citizens, the Walla Walla Town Hall was filled with well behaved people who were able to share their opinions and ask relevant question about the Health Care bill.As I walked through the parking lot towards the Community College's Dietrich Dome, the location for the Town Hall meeting, I heard a group of demonstrators 'huddling' in a final cheer of support for the Health Care bill and/or the 'Public Option' as they were dispersing into the building for the meeting. 100 Mile Challenge

I just finished reading Plenty Eathing Locally on the 100 Mile Challenge http://www.100milediet.org and found it to be well... food for thought. It has been about a year that we have been working on learning to live more with where we live rather than taking where we live for granted. This coming year while I am not ready to go for a complete 100 mile diet it is my goal to learn to live and eat on what is produced locally.

Aunt Violet's Fine Plants

Aunt Violet's Fine Plants is a work of love on the part of Mary Ruther, Proprietor. She was a school teacher who got "burnt out" and decided to make her dream come true and develop a business doing what she loves. Planting plants, selling them and teaching others to make the most out of their home space. She sells high quality locally grown plants for the home gardener that are of high quality and organic. Right now she says Kale is on.
